Lawfinders Associates, Inc. was established in 1984 by Long Island, New York attorneys Paul Scott and his oldest son Jonathan. Over the next six years, father and son expanded both the firm’s services and its reach throughout New York and surrounding states. Sadly, Paul passed away in 1990. Jonathan stayed the course and continued to lead Lawfinders for two more years. Then, in 1992, Robert Scott, Jonathan’s younger brother, joined the firm’s leadership.

Sharing the same vision, brothers and partners set out to make Lawfinders a leader in legal research and brief writing on a national scale. In 1994, Lawfinders launched its Guaranteed Appellate Brief Program®, featuring a 100% money-back guarantee based on the outcome of cases on appeal. As the popularity of the guarantee program grew among the bar, Lawfinders opened a second office in Dallas, Texas in 1996. This office became the firm’s national headquarters.

Since 1992, Robert and Jonathan’s partnership has grown to include a dedicated team of qualified attorneys and professionals who continue to focus on delivering the highest quality legal research and brief writing services available.
